Jay Watts is the owner of an IT consulting business in west Georgia, who keeps his sanity by banging the junk out of metal. With an insatiable appetite for unique ways of expressing his creativity, he stumbled upon coin-ring making in 2013. He began with a simple mandrel and PVC pipe setup, punching holes using a die and brute force (smacking it with a hammer). He's since refined his technique, acquiring a 6-ton press, professional polisher and custom-machined dies for high-quality results.
Jay is an invaluable studio companion to Amy, setting up photographic equipment and editing her time-lapse videos, working alongside her at art festivals, helping with larger stained glass pieces and giving his (wanted) critique and brainstorming ideas for projects.
